OOOOOooooo. Gotta love a new train - and all its…toys? Oh, it’s a new hanging strap design.
Compared to the dirty train covered in graffiti I showed earlier (>30 posts ago), this one’s gleaming! Also from Sydney, Australia.
Sydney has no transit smart card yet (unlike Melbourne) but has been working on it for a number of years and spent over $13M AUD so far…However, I do like their paper tickets design and names. My train, my bus, etc. puts the public in public transport.
The ferry has a bottle refill station. Refill your water bottle for free. The poster on the right reminds you: you don’t have to put up with bad behaviour on public transit.
Manly [passenger] ferry has room for about 8 bicycles, which is already not enough. However, it’s great to find a spot for your bike as you check out the scenery on the 30 min ride from Circular Quay to the north shore’s Manly Wharf.
Sydney’s monorail station as viewed from tram stop near Chinatown. Here’s a 12 second clip.
